Why danceaid?

danceaid is important to Dan because Laura Wilson, the founder and CEO, was one of his wife Becky’s best friends at York University and still remains very close.

Becky and Dan have supported danceaid ever since it was founded in 2009.  Even though we are not great dancers we know that the selfless hard work that Laura and danceaid puts in to the many shows, exhibitions and charity work is incredible.

Dan has a particular soft spot for danceaid’s life changing work over in the Philippines, which he travelled to twice whilst working for William Hill.  Seeing the gut-wrenching poverty and street begging, particularly young children, first hand really brought to life how much they need the help and support of great charities like danceaid.

danceaid’s mission is to get the UK on its feet dancing to make a difference to orphaned, poor and disabled children across the UK, Africa, and Asia.

Whether it be a ballroom class, barndance, danceathon, dance-off, dance show, disco, or talent contest, danceaid wants to see tiny tots to groovy grannies shaking a leg to feed, educate, equip, and inspire disadvantaged children around the world.

EVERYONE can help.  EVERY pound counts.  Join the movement for change!  Teamwork makes the dream work  🙂
